NSW Flood Response

It has been one month since NSW was first inundated with flood waters. The devastation was huge, and we’ve been inspired by how quickly our Global Care operations have responded to provide support to those affected. We want to share with you a little bit of all the work they are doing.

How Global Care Is Helping

Teams from Penrith, Taree, Gloucester, Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Macksville, South West Rocks and other locations have been in action assisting with the massive clean up and rebuilds. Foodbank has donated many emergency food hampers and our operations have been busy distributing them to the individuals and families who need them.

Pictured is the Global Care team from Faith Family Taree cleaning up the home of an 85 year old widow who lost all her possessions in the flood. Global Care was able to purchase a new hot water system and mattress for her and are continuing to assist so she can move back into her home.

Pictured are some of the amazing Global Care team from My Church Kempsey who have been busy cleaning in their local community. My Church South West Rocks were able to assist a lady who had been isolated by flood waters for nine days. You can read more about that story by heading to our social media accounts.

Two of our fully stocked disaster response trailers have been deployed to Penrith and Kempsey and are providing much needed resources to help affected communities.
